Went for a short drive today and I'm happy to report that all Corvette drivers were waving. No snobs. The wave appears to still be alive and well.
Remo:cool

I'm about to go for a cruise right now. :) I'll let you know how it is around here:w

I got the shaft from a C5 and a C3 bumper car. Oh well, at least I was waving. :w

The last 5 or so vettes I have seen in mine I have all gotten waves to. One was a C3 the rest were C4's and C5's.

The wave seems to be dying down out this way. Too many newbie Corvette owners, I presume, who don't know the tradition. :w

Its is the oddest thing. I've had some folks look at me and give me a wired look, like do I know that guy.

The recent couple don't even look in my direction. How can you not see a corvette coming the other direction :confused

I only passed two today, both C5's, and I got the "do I know you look" and the "no look at all". ;shrug

The wave is very much alive here in the Northwest. I rarely pass a vette the doesnt exchange waves and there is a ton of Corvettes around here:w

Do we have anything in common :L

More so the newer vettes have drivers not versed in their duty to wave. I would say most it is their first vette.

'Cause they're too busy texting:bash.

I probably get waves 70% or more of the time in the DC area. Throw C6s out of the mix and it's more like 90%. Throw women out (no offense intended for those on this site) who must think I'm trying to flirt:dancenaughty and you're probably talking 95%.

No matter, I wave at 'em all.:w

I really got the "do I know you look" today... I forgot I was in the Explorer taking family to the airport.:chuckle

I've done that before. Hate it when that happens:rotfl

Man, I'm still trying to figure this one out ..... :confused

Coming back from our local Sunday evening "Car Show" at the local ice cream parlor.

Start heading down Rt. 12 and this guy in a Miata gives me .... "The Wave" .... clear as a bell.

I mean he may have been driving wifeys car and has a 67 big block in the garage so it's printed in the grey matter for him to wave .... I often resist when I'm driving my old Toyota pick-em-up but sometimes I slip and let one go .... especially if it's a real cool like an older "cream my jeans" type.

Only about 25% wave back when I'm driving the Vette soooooo ... but that just may be Noo-Joy-Z?

No, I don't think so, you're alot younger than me.;LOL:rotfl:D:boogie

Oddly enough, we have one more thing in common. Like my father, you were born in the year the first vette was produced, and I was born the only year since then they were not produced!!! Just something interesting :)

I have caught myself waving to several other nice muscle cars, and vettes too, when I am out tooling around in my Trans Am. I would say 50% of the time I get a thumbs up or something.

I did get something never before received. A guy in a Lexus, passenger, started clapping at me. I was driving my Trans Am. This was a first.
