While strictly based on personal preference here is my list;
C1 = 1956 - 57; I think they're the cleanest design and could be had with the fule injection or dual four barrels.
C2 = This is a toss up between the 1963 split window, for obvious reasons and the 1967 427 convertible.
C3 = 1969...
For the chrome bumper cars I'd have to go with the '68-'69 cars (I prefer the coupe).
For the rubber bumper cars I'd have to go with the '78 - '79 cars (minus the add-on front and rear spoilers).
I also agree that you can't go wrong with the '73 Corvette; kind of has the perfect blend of...
Run, don't walk from Romeo Engineering. I placed an order for carpet from them and, after waiting more than 3 months, the carpet finally arrived. I ordered the correct saddle color for my 1969 and received the dark saddle for a '71-'72. I called to inform them of the mistake and they insisted...
I 'd say lose the rack; personally I think they look horrible on a C3 and completely ruin the lines of the car. Corvettes weren't designed with luggage racks in mind; in fact, I don't think they were ever a factory opotion but may have been dealer add ons.
Of course it is all a matter of...
If I'm not mistaken, the rims on your car were made by a company named Permacast and they were pretty popular in the late '70's early '80's in fact you sometimes see them on the cars built by Motion Performance back then.
I have a '69 L46 and was wondering what kind of idle it should have. More specifically, what kind of lope should it have at idle? I always wanted my car to have that nasty lope to it and I was recently on Ebay checking out some of the ads. I came across a few for 1969 Z28's that had videos...
I visit this site, the Corvette Forum and Digital Corvettes. I agree with everyone that the CF does have some very arrogant people over there at times but, there are quite a few good people as well. It's unfortunate that the jerks give that forum a bad reputation.
I even think Digital...
I am not familiar with what is involved with installing a LS motor into a C3 so my question may be a bit off but, would your kit enable someone to install an LS motor and a 6 speed without making any permanent modifications?
I would be interested in installing modern running gear but, since my...
I got my carpet set from Eckler's after waiting months for a set to arrive from Romeo Engineering (avoid them at all cost). I also installed a heat barrier under the entire carpeted area; I used a product called "Fatmat" and it is essentially a more affordable version of Dynamat.
Good luck...
I am pretty certain that the LS engines are lighter than any of the older 350 based motors since the LS motors have numerous aluminum components (I think they have aluminum heads and maybe even blocks).
I would bet that you could easily exchange one LS based motor for another with the...
If it were mine I wouldn't touch a thing on it. If it's been sitting as long as you say the vibration may simply be caused by flat spotted tires. I would take the car as is to a local NCRS event and have it inspected by their judges. As a Survivor car it may be awarded a Survivor certificate or...
