Thanks Gary, I have the same book and have looked at two or three of those photos and the one in the photos does look flat. Mine is different with the "box-like" structures on one side of the baffle - one in each bore. If no one out there knows which way it goes, i'll try it both ways and see...

When rebuilding the Quadrajet for my 69 350/350, carb #7029207 i neglected to notice which way the baffle in the secondary bores should be oriented. There is a small box-like structure on one side of the baffle in one bore. Does this orient to the front or rear of the carb? It will fit either...
