Your ears should be burning with all the people I've told about your car and the transforamtion! Oddly I haven't run across any retro-rodded Vetts. Big Corvette only get together here in Lake Mary today with only about 5 midyears out of about 70 cars.

For y'all that have never driven one of these old girls with a new frame and powertrain, hold on to your hats and don't try to eat a hot dog or you'll get mustard in your ears from...
Great to have you to the site, running 93 octane in my 63 327/300, not like I need the extra umph, mine has a power glide with the 3.36. Tank of gas last about 3 months. Never tried a lower grade to see if pinging.

Glad to see you over here! There's some guys that post here that have an amazing breadth and depth of knowledge of these old girls. Keep us updated and remember, "Wheels are round for a reason...... They're made to roll"

My door latch was greatly worn from years of use and I had to have the "finger" built up a little, now I can pull the inside knob back about a 1/4 of an inch and she's open.

Love to have gone, stayed at a place called Hippensteal, beautiful vistas, wonderful curvie roads, wonderful food, impossible to tell you were so close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sieverville.

No Radio, NO PROBLEM! Rarely if ever turn mine on plus some Bubba butchered my dash. I mainly just listen to the exhaust "tunes!" I know the clock is for a "64 just haven't come across a good "63 one yet.

Many small town Chevy dealers would only get one Vet per year, made it easier to remember the special people who bought them!
We had one guy in our town that went out hunting these cars in '78, ended up with 18, I think. Slowly sold them over the years. He's still pretty sharp!
