Thanks everybody. The drilling thing is crazy to me too...I haven't had a chance to tear into it and see exactly what the deal is...this is just what I was told. I'll post back if it's something interesting.

Can anyone help me out? I own an '85 vette, but the overdrive didn't work when I bought the vehicle. I haven't had a chance to pull things apart and check it out myself, but a shop that works only on corvettes told me that the previous owner drilled a hole through the transmission connection...
