What Do GM's Troubles Mean for the Corvette?

I'm always surprised at the right leaning thinking that pops up on the forum. The Prius gets 40+ mpg. If Toyota can do it, so can GM. In fact, we're the folks who put a man on the moon in nine years, built the Internet, wrote the Constitution. Let's go for 50+ mpg. Gas will be $4 again and...

    Car show question...

I've got to agree with Tom94. I've got a 94 DAILY driver with 103,000 on the clock and it should be judged against its peers, a 100K+ class.

What is a 92 coupe with 92K worth?? anything problem areas to look at?

Also check the weather stripping, specifically around the front windshield and door windows. A lot of C4's show rubber splitting facing the rear vertical edge of the window doors. Also feel under the water pump after the engine is cool enough to touch. Do you feel any radiator fluid. Radiator...

    Rear End Fluid replacement

I went to Home Depot and bought a small black oil can that has a "trigger pump" and about a four inch long thin nozzle that easily fits in the fill hole. I marked it DIFF FLUID and I only use for refillling the rear end.

    NCRS Questions

Thanks. Very good news. I've decided to join before my C4 'matures' to NCRS judging age.

    NCRS Questions

Boeingdriver, I'm going the stock route, judging might be in the car's future. I think it’s worth it, assuming the judging and membership fees are reasonable. I've been told that NCRS membership is $35, an additional $10 for local chapter fees and about $30-$40 for local judging, (this was...

    NCRS Questions

What does NCRS charge for judging? Are only member's cars judged? Any ideas when the 94 Specification Guide will be available and when 94's will be eligible for judging?

    Changing Plug Wires

I did the right rear two plugs when I replaced the fuel filter and the driver's side rear two plugs when I replaced the brake vacuum booster. The front plugs on both sides were, by contrast, much easier to get to.

Replacing Rotors and Caliper Mounting Bolts

Very good guys, thanks for the reply. I'll go with new bolts from GM. Again, thanks.

Replacing Rotors and Caliper Mounting Bolts

94 Polo Green Coupe - 102450 miles, daily driver. Do I have to remove the caliper mounting brackets to get the front rotors off? The service manual says yes, and also says to replace the caliper mounting bolts. The bolts require about four million pounds of torque, actually 165 and I weigh...

    1994 Polo Green w/Tan Leather

I have the same exact model, that's in good condition but your condition sounds really great. I've also got 102,000 miles on the odometer. If you sell now, you're selling at a lot point. Condiiton is everything and your car sounds like it would a world class survivor. Hold on to it, get it...

    Drap Strip

Thanks for comments guys, much appreciated. Moroso is not far away at all and sounds like a great idea.

    Drap Strip

My 94 is a six speed with 98k and a DD. I've never really 'punched it', but have recently driven past two drap strips. I'm wondering: 1) How safe is it for the car to really push the tac up to the 4-5K, redline range? 2) I've spoken to some folks who say start shifting at 4.5K because that...
