The adjustment does take a special wrench. I have coilovers on my ZR1 and my Non-FX3 convertible. They use the same wrench. Contact Callaway, They may be able to line you up with the proper wrench. :beer

Your backfire could be the exhaust. I'm running headers, no cats, and Borla mufflers. I, often, get a slight backfire from the exhaust.
