    LT4 Clutch

Clutch Follow Up You were right...the clutch master cylinder was leaking most of the fluid out...Merry Christmas too me, I get a master cylinder as my gift! My security system had also failed and the fob was defective...so I get that for Christmas as well. So, it could have been worse...thanks...

    LT4 Clutch

Okay guys...here's the deal, had my LT 4 out Saturday and the clutch was soft and the friction point was very close to the floor. It drove fine and the pedal firmed up a bit as it warmed up but I am concerned. I have not been in touch with my mechanic but I will not be surprised if the clutch is...

Test drove a 1995 for sale...

I agree with what John says...run away! There are many quality C4s out there...take your time and enjoy the hunt. Remember, it's the journey and not the distination. If you want a specific color or combination of options it may take a bit longer but so what? You end up with the Corvette you...

Test drove a 1995 for sale...

I'll bet the headlights need to be rebuilt...my 96 LT4 required it when I purchased it. Replaced the plastic gear w/ bronze replacement gears. Be sure to check the simple stuff...windshield wipers, cruise control, all heat/cooling switches, service records...has the car had the scheduled...

LT4 thinking of buying '96 lt-4. couple of questions from new member.

So, you all think this was added by the original owner? Not at all what I expected to hear. Anyway...this is the LT4 badge I questioned. My car, here, is in the Cars & Coffee Show held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 7 - 9 AM @ DuPont Register offices - St Petersburg, FL...a great, fun show.

LT4 thinking of buying '96 lt-4. couple of questions from new member.

A goofy question? As I draw up to the 1 year anniversary of the purchase of my Polo Green LT 4 I have a goofy question to ask. Why are some LT4s badged and others are not. My coupe has the LT4 badge on the rear bumper and it's the only way anyone would know it's anything special until you open...

LT4 thinking of buying '96 lt-4. couple of questions from new member.

I agree...an LT 4 shouldn't be priced the same as a Grand Sport...even tho the basic difference is a paint job. And $23.5K is WAY out of line for a low mileage LT 4. Perhaps $14K tops? Keep looking...your LT 4 is out there and the hunt is part of the fun. Don't rush...find what you want and...

LT4 thinking of buying '96 lt-4. couple of questions from new member.

Pending LT 4 Purchase Saw you post about buying a LT 4 w/ 131K. I bought mine in Feb w/ 98K and failed to do a couple of things and maybe my mistakes will protect you from the making the same ones. First, I failed to have a Corvette specialist look over the car. The previous owners son was...

    40th Anniversary Thinking About Buying

100K Service Ditto what Huskerman said...I just had my 96 LT4 serviced after it passed 100K...all fluids changed, new plugs and plug wires and a total look over to see if anything else needed attention. GM doesn't make the plug wires for my car...in fact, I'm finding that much of what I'll need...

    C4 The Most Maligned Model?

Snobs I gotta say I have never felt the "SNOB" effect. I've put my LT 4 in several shows since I purchased it in Feb 2012...several times in the Cars and Coffee Show in St Pete, FL. From Lambos to Hot Rods to a VW Bus to new and old Corvettes...you see them all. In almost each show someone will...

    LT4 My next Vette?

"Nice Find" It sure sounds like a find to me...I bought my LT 4 from the orginal owner in Feb but my Polo Green coupe has 100K on the dial. I've had to do the usual 100K service work but the car is tight and it's fast. The only thing I would suggest you keep an eye on is your Opti-Spark...

    LT4 Magnaflow Exhaust

Exhaust Notes Aces96...I to have a 96 LT4 and I struggled with the exhaust question. When I purchased my car it had really loud pipes (at least I considered them loud) I spoke to a magnaflow dealer, passed on corsa because of price and decided to go back to stock mufflers (from eckler for about...

    LT4 New Vette

Oh...that's a beauty! You're going to love the LT 4...I know I do. Any excuse to go for a drive does it for me! Question...what do you think of the Corsa exhaust? I'm trying to decide which way to go on mine and I'm torn. I don't need to replace the entire system. I don't want it to sound like a...

    Help! Looking for first Corvette

Corvette Search I just went down the same path...spoke to a bunch of owners and service people as I narrowed my search down to 1995-96 models. I ended up buying a 96 LT 4 w/ 99,000 miles. I had a corvette specialist look the car over and asked about the Optispark (sp?) and he said as long as...

    LT4 LT4s on e-bay

Kevin, 4 weeks ago I bought a 99,000 mile LT 4 for $11,500 in Tampa, FL. I looked long and hard for an LT 4. I wanted a car I could drive guilt free. No garage queen for me. The one I bought I got from the original owner with limited paperwork. I had to spend another $1500 to have a few oil...
