I tried that and cannot get at one of the screws as it is under the latch and cannot get the tool on it. Is there a secret to that?

I just bought a used 98 hard top thinking that it would fit the 97 i have with a Lexan top on it now. I put the rear pins in as far as they could go and the front latches hit the top of the windshield and it will not fit as it hits the latches. Can the latches be moved back a hair?? If so, how...
