Married and started a family when I was a child. Spent money on necessities so nice cars were a luxury. Bought three new cars in my life and the last one I bought in the US was a 1971 Vega. I maintain and fix everything but farm out Freon and machine work -- structural welding and large sandblasting jobs. Now that I'm retired I get to spend more time on the cars. Still can't bring myself to buy a new car.
