The questions we all get asked......

I've got another one that happened at a gas station. A guy asked me how much I paid for it.I said I was still paying for it. He looked confused. He wanted to know how long I had it. I told him 35 years. So, he said you've been making payment for 35 years. I told him that was correct and I'm...

    Dings and scratches

The ironic thing is the car is kept of sight where no one can get to it. The one time I bring it home to go in the house(bam). I'll tell you;it took every ounce of restraint in my bones to keep my mouth shut and temper under wraps. She was willing to pay for a repaint, etc. I will call her...

    Dings and scratches

Yes, but the bad stuff never happens to my beater or work truck. It's like there's a bad karma around something your cherish.

    Dings and scratches

You mean like the day my wife decided to sit on the driveway with the beach chair. She took the chair out the side door and as she walked by the car with the car cover the chair sprung open and hit the side of my Vette. Needless to say it had a chip the side of a pin head down to the gel coat. I...

How to keep your car safe?

I had a family member with a club to the steering wheel from the brake. A kill switch. He had the car parked under his bedroom window. He heard them start the car. By the time he pulled his pants up all he saw was the tailights. This happened about 5:30am. The witching hour. When the cops came...

The wait was worth it !!

Enjoy. That feeling will not diminish. I still feel the same way after 35 years with my first one. I store boxes in a garage where my Vette is housed. I still see the outline with the car cover on it while I'm working. Oh, the pull to lift up her cover and peak. You get the idea.

    Warning! My Buyavette Experience

I'll play the devil's advocate also. I agree. I've had mine for 35+ and anything can happen. I've been a stickler for maintenance and then out of no where something breaks:rotfl. These cars are old and generally used/abused. I think you should've done more research and inspection. Good luck...

    why dont C6 guys wave..?

Because they're chewing gum and driving at the same time(lol). I had to go to therapy because of all the non waving C6's(not). All kidding aside. I get the wave when other C6s's are out. Like it was said previously. I guess it's what they're doing at the time they're driving or they don't...

    Question: automatic shift ball removal

shifter knob i used a rag and channel locks to get mine off. (Same here). They can be difficult to turn but it will come off eventually. I don't remember it being left hand thread unless your sitting on the dash board.

Question: 1973 - L82 Corvette Convertible how many made

Yours was the only one made that way. Mine was the other one produced with the L48. That's the only two left(lol). I tried to find that info. It's a guesstimate. Did you try the blackbook?
