    Decklid bumper?

I have them on my 71. They work great. I believe you need to drill two holes in the deck lid to mount them, so if you are going to go this route, it would be best to drill before paint.

    Frames

I just went to the NCRS forum again and It will be easier to find the thread if you search for "Frame Differences". Hope this helps. Mike

    Frames

Like Gunther says "DON'T PART OUT A '68 BECAUSE OF THE FRAME" This topic was recently discussed in some detail on the NCRS technical forum. The following is from someone who has been there and done that. "They will not FIT!!!! I tried... a 71 on a 68... No fit. The front frame horns, NOT the...

Do your homework I am of the understanding that there are some difference's in the front of a '68 frame not found on later shark frames. Make sure you know it will fit your body before you buy one.

    Running Rough

First of all welcome to CAC. The most helpfull / friendly community there is. The black smoke is due to a rich mixture. The increase in idle speed is probably due to "cleaning out" the cumbustion chambers / leaning out and then the overly rich mixture causing it to run rich and decreasing the...

    1968 four-speed shifter problem

Have you checked the linkage adjusting nuts on the reverse linkage? Maybe they managed to viberate loose and it's a simple adjustment / tighting issue. Just a thought.

    Need Help: 1970 Wiper Problem

You may want to take a look at the actuatuor rod seal. If it is cracked or does not seal properly the door will act as you discribe (it would not be the cause of the "swooshing sound" however). Hope this helps.

The Chasssis Service Manual has an exploded view of the T&T column. I have one and would be glad to fax you a copy of the diagram if that would be of help. Welcome to CAC!!:w

    Tilt & telescopic wheel

Does anyone know what the length of the telescopic wheel (from firewall to wheel) when it is closest to the dash? How does this compare to the standard column? I am thinking about changing over to tilt if it moves the wheel in closer to the dash.

How to tell if car was originally a BB?

    Just checked the NCRS judging manual for the Tach redlines. It says: 350-270hp Redline starts at 5300 350-330hp " " " " at 6500 454-365hp " " " " at 5600 454-425hp " " " " at 6500 I believe they are refering to the actual redline not the preceeding...

How to tell if car was originally a BB?

Check for a rear sway bar. I think it was 9/16 from the factory and only BB cars came with them. Also if the car has A/C the coolant expansion tank is quite different. Hope this helps.
