Anyone use the cross-drilled, sloted ebay rotors?

R1- Do you have a phone # and pay-pal address that we may order direct through you (and skip the e-bay fees?). Also, do you make the slotted only rotors? I have heard that the drilled rotors (any brand) may crack under racing conditions. Thanks! 64Mike

    Roll bar advice needed

Anyone have pics or advice on where to mount the roll bars on to the frame of a mid year? I have an 8 point cage kit from Jegs. It consists of a main hoop, 2 bars that run to the rear, 2 bars that run up beside the door, and some X braces that go inside the main hoop. I really need to know where...

Anyone use the cross-drilled, sloted ebay rotors?

The price just seems to get cheaper by the month! Are they any good? I can get drilled / slotted front and rears for under 250.00. on ebay I want to run good rotors without spending a fortune. Are these even worth looking at or am I wasting my time? 64mike

    Birdcage for 64 Coupe

I would take a marker or scribe, and circle the perimeter of the bad areas. Then cut the rust out out. Take some cardboard (like from a cereal box) and cut/trim the pieces so they fit the holes. Then transfer the shapes over to some 20guage metal and have a welder weld them in. Grind smooth and...

    Frame suspicion confirmed

I wonder if it is the same article as the one in the "Chevrolet Power" manual. I have that one and tried to follow their suggestions on gusseting and filling the open access holes. You know, one thing that really had me worried was the rear kick-up area and rear 1/3 of the frame. Before any...

    Birdcage for 64 Coupe

What areas need replacing? There are parts available like under-sill rails and mounting points. Try Ecklers and paragon. Most of the metal around the door and window can be cut out and re-welded with 20gauge metal. cheers 64mike

    Frame suspicion confirmed

After a very long 2 years of welding, grinding measuring and explaining to the wife that the rusty colored metal "thing"in the back yard is actually a corvette frame that will live again, I assembled the rolling assembly, gathered my wife, brother, son, neighbor kids and my 8 year old Daughter...

63 Steering Column - Turn Signal Housing

Seems to me that it just pushed in and turned about 1/4 turn. It is held in place when the plastic / internals are tightened up. 64Mike

8 point roll cage advice needed

Tom, thanks for the reply. I am building up an autocross car. 66' 355/4sp. I originally wanted to put a 4 point roll bar in, but for a few bucks more you could get the 8 point. Funny thing is, my wife saw it circled in my Jegs catalog (this is the classic way of getting what you want for...

8 point roll cage advice needed

Santa dropped off a roll cage for me this year and I would like to gather as much info as possible before starting this part of my project. The car is a midyear coupe, body is off the frame. Just eyeballing it, the biggest question is where does the main hoop sit? I see that he frame kick-ups...
