This probably isn't a new issue to many of you, but I thought I'd share a few comments on how I resolved my hot running Z.
After owning the Z for a few weeks now I noticed that she ran on the hot side in traffic and particularly on very hot days with temps over 95'. Last week she almost...
Thanks, guys...
Just did the radiator clean out, replaced all the hoses, installed a 180' thermostat, intalled a Haibeck Chip and replaced the serpantine belt while I was in there. Now instead of running near the top of the temp guage she runs right down the middle and holds that temp...

Thanks guys...the wife is once again speaking to me...I my case thats a good thing.
Did I mention the car had a semi-famous original owner? It was the personal car of Larry Cahill. Larry owns the largest chain of Holiday Inns in the country but more importantly for us he operated Cahill Racing...

As some of you know I bought the 90' ZR-1 in Vegas that was advertised for $14K with 47K miles. Many have asked to hear how it went so here you go...including pictures. Believe me, it was an ordeal!

WTS 91' M6spd 37k mile Vert - SOLD

Thanks for the BTT tony....
As for the drip tabs on the valve covers I've got that covered. Removed those when I installed the rockers..even checked the inside of the valve covers the last time readjusted the rockers to see if they were hitting anywhere...nothing.
I've come to the conclusion...
I installed a set of full 1.6 roller rockers in my 36K mile L98 about 6 weeks ago. Ever since I have noticed that they get noisy (ticking) in the 1800 to 2000 rpm range. I've gone back and re-adjusted them 3 times now. The last time I did them while running...you know...back off the retaining...
Your fine.... take the reading with the vacume line removed, that will give you max pressure, that's what you want to see. IMO 55psi is too high. I run 47-50...just crank it down a bit.
Good luck...
