    FS 1965 Convertible Driver NOM

I've owned this car a few years. I've rebuilt the entire front end with MOOG parts. New gauges, main wiring harness, Dewitts aluminum radiator, Pertronix ignition, steering column bearing, rear bolts and bushings, speaker, and other things that escape me at the moment. I'll have to dig out the...

    BarryK - I think I have your 2004 issue!

I've read that the clutches in the posi unit can also CAUSE the lat. movement. Not the loud bang though... I don't mean to hi-jack your thread. But, does anyone know for sure about a posi rear with lack of or bad additive causing the shifting movement while turning ? It is a VERY quick jerk of...

    '65 Steering Column Bearing Replacement

Thanks DZ. I am one and the same with a different name on the boards. It was a dumb question. I just went out and did it and took all of 5 minutes ! Thanks for the pics and instructions ! Wish it was all this easy. I get to tackle putting the cluster in tomorrow. It was really easy coming...

    '65 Steering Column Bearing Replacement

One of those, "While I'm there might as well..." I replaced the instruments on my 65 and while the column is out I ordered new bearings for the steering column. How hard are they to replace ? Just pry out the old and tap in the new ones ? Tips, tricks ? Thanks !

    Sneaky ride.

I doubt that I will ever make it to Canada. I may have to make the special trip to BG just to see it in person. The pics and video's of it are awesome enough !

Answer to how the new fenders really look.

THAT is the beauty of BC/CC. It is far easier to fix than you would think. One technique is to overspray the area and thin the paint/clear down progressivly as you go along. Then sand and buff it back out. Should be an easy fix - don't worry bout' it. And you said the fiberglass is actually...

    C2 headlight doors

I'm looking at a 67 that has a replacement f/e and fixed headlights - not glassed in - but never had buckets installed. What is a ballpark price for all the hardware ? Buckets, motors, brackets, etc...Are the parts easy to get ? Any idea what a bodyshop may charge to put them in ? Thanks

    I think it went well...

I don't think the synthetic grease would pose any problem. youwish2beme - It might....if the screw is too tight though, it won't hardly spin that little motor at all. I'm not clear on what you exactly mean by "slop." If you are talking about the speed of them going up/down - yes, I think that...

    I think it went well...

IMHO....I would open it back up and use white lithium grease on the gears. The same stuff you use in your engine build up. It will help chase away any moisture that gets in there and will not dissolve. You said that you tested them...I guess, you know that you can hook it up to a battery...

Johnny Fever, would do it ! :D

Looking to go beyond 502c.i. with short deck

67HVN - Come on man...you put a very exotic suspension in it, exotic body panels and tons of body/paint work for the widest wheel/tire combo known to man on a midyear. You need to "Swing for the fences" with the motor and go with a twin turbo charger setup. Ya' just gotta do something more with...

Progress Report-Dec.24 (the going home thread)

Son, that is awesome ! Glad you went with the red - I agree with the painter about showing off the lines. I hope we both make it back to Carlisle, sometime, and I can see it in person.

    Shipping side exhaust covers.

I bought a set off ebay once. BE CAREFUL OF THE WEIGHT ! I don't think you need a crate made of wood - that could be pretty expensive to ship. Have the guy go by a local Sears store or something similar. They get in appliances in huge boxes. He may have to cut and fold them over (maybe even use...
