I launch right off idle or sometimes around 1500 rpm, all depends on track conditions. I ran 12.9@110mph leaving at idle. The key is how much clutch slipping to do.
also might add that teh bellhousing will not slide off if you ahve some miles on the clutch. You will need to remove the clutch fork. Do that by removing tiny allen washer looking bolt. The first is a number 6 or 8 and the second larger one behind that is a 12? The 12 allen bolt actually turns...
you don't need to remove the shifter, only the shift knob, shifter console and rubber shifter seal. You may need to put it in first gear but it will come out as long as the support beam does not get in the way. BEWARE! The trans is very heavy. I was able to do this job on my own with the vette...

Well at least I did get to spit shine it once for an NVCC vette show.:_rock
I think this comment is way off. The ZR1 is still slightly faster and it's a totally different unique engine. Most ZR1 owners think the ZR1 is above all the others. That's find with me, what ever floats your boat. Just pointing that out because with that kind of thinking it would be hard for the...
You could have saved yourself the trouble and just ask Bluewasp what his top speed is. He has the same HP as you give or take a few. He has done some top speed runs on the autobahn in germany. Matter fo fact I think his top speed was 184mph also.

There are three pages worth of replies. The 2nd or 3rd page has my big reply.
don't ever say I never dun did anything 4u.....hehehehe
I replied to a thread with a big write up. You will have to do some foot work and search for it. It compared HP increase and other things to some of the others cat backs. Corsa was not out yet at that time.
Good luck building a copy. You can not buy Callaway parts from Callaway unless you belong in this special group of owners. Good luck getting any info like specs from Callaway owners or Callaway itself. Highly keeped secret info not to be shared.
You can build a motor that is equal to what they...
Problem with this idea is it will not help much. The seal/bearing is where the leak comes from most of the time. When that goes it actually leaks ou the back of the seal and not out of the peep hole. Nada you can do for that.
Sorry but i run better times than that in my stock LT4, best run 12.9@110mph.
You need more practice, simple as that. Using slicks will make your times more consistant but your drive train will be abused alot more with the slicks. Ask yourself is it worth an extra possible .04 just for bragging...
ASR off is for folks who have driving skills. People who don't are better off with it on, even then I'm not sure too sure. Keep in mind it may turn on at the wrong moment and cause you to loose control. But like i said, if you are not in control anyways it may not make a difference at that point.
