Correct radio for a 1972 coupe

Ihave one I jsut pulled my original radio out of my 72 coupe. I installed my EFI ocntroller in the radio spot so I won't be needing the factory radio for anything. It worked before I took it out (of course local radio stations to rura lAlabama suck). If you are looking for one, and want it...

Looking good in White Man, I love the C3 in white! Here are the latest pictures from Josh. Rear valence fits like a glove (NOT OJ's glove!). I love this angle. Two more weeks and I am going to go see her in person.

A little more progress - getting closer to paint The fenders are done, after many many hours of blocking and sanding, guidecoat, primer, and filler. Here are some more shots of the work Josh did to the fenders. He took the fender molds he had and refined the wheel openings a bit for me...

The wheels are made by Vintage Wheel Works. They are a similar to the Minilite wheels. They make a great product and fast. Mine shipped a week after I ordered them. I sent them the car information, the width and offset I desired and they built them to my specifications. As far as paint...

My Baby is at Custom Image Corvettes

Josh sent me some more pictures last night. While working on my valence panel, it literally fell apart. I know it was in bad shape. I had to add a bunch of Duraglass when I was wokring on it last year to fill in missing chunks, and it was cracked in a few places. Then, when loading it on the...

More progress It is interesting what you find when doing this level of repair / modification to an old Vette. The passenger door is not original - it has a 1977 date code on it and it is maroon. It fits well, but does not match the 72 contour at the door handle so some work needed to be done...

On to the next problem: C3 rear suspension -- again really that tough?

Here's a couple sugestions Usually wantering all over the road is because they set the toe to a positive toe-out condition and may be due to a positive camber setting. My alignment shop did this to my 72 and it was rough to drive. They used the 68-69 specs. Some books have incorrect...

Some of you may be familiar with my 72 Vette, Michele. I have had her for a few years now and in that short amount of time, I have had decades of fun. She came to me with a piss poor paint job and running like crap. When I got her, she had a GM ZZ454 engine in her with an M22 4-speed. The motor...

    Fuel Injection

I put the FAST Easy EFI system on my 72 and I am very happy with it. The 72 has a GM ZZ454 crate engine, TREMEC TKO600 5-speed, Hooker header/side pipes, MSD ignition, and a 12-bolt 3.73 rear end. The system self-learns while you are driving and it adjusts to changes in the air density and...

Looking for an engine for my 74'

I have a 335 HP 350 in my 73 chassis from Phoenix Engines. $3,500.00 including everythign from the air cleaner to the Hooker Headers. They are in Arizona. I haven't started the motor yet, but it looks great sitting on my new chassis:D

Question: What parts did Santa bring you for Christmas?

I got a sweater and a dress shirt.:) The wifey doesn't know, but Santa brought me a flannel car cover for Raquel!:upthumbs (Raquel is the 73 Coupe - she is in the paint shop getting a new Torch Red paint job).

    79 Bodywork Issue w/ Pics

Just make sure the door is hung straight, and the hinges are in good shape, then match the fender to the door and hood. If you can get those gaps tight, then who cares how much adhesive is needed? This is a critical spot on the car, so don't cut any corners here. Take your time.

My Baby's 40th Birthday is Tomorrow!

I just painted my 73 Torch Red. Man! that is a beautiful color!!!! I went to see her at the paint shop on Tuesday. They finished the final coat of clear on Friday, and had been color sanding and buffing her for 2 days. She looked amazing! I can't wait to get her home. I bought her a new...

    Question: Leather vs. Vinyl.

I bought some leather-like vinyl covers but I did not get new seat foam. The car I am puting them in is a 73 and the original seats are flat. My best friend is an embroiderer, so I am getting "Stingray" put in red on the backs to match the floormats I have. They will look great with the...
