I have rebuilt my 700R4 transmission. Plan on spending 8+ hours rebuilding it. I had to order a few parts from GM as well along the way to get the clearances correct. Get the ATSG manual and use a compatible 700R4 core from a Corvette.

The output shaft is different length as well. You would need to pull the transmission entirely to make it work to swap. It just isn’t economically feasible. The used transmission also isn’t going to have all the corvette upgrades. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes it is normal. When it is bolted the intake manifold everything should be rigid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
