    Carter Carb Source

I used BFIC / Carbsonly at 1617 W. Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506. Cost was $339.82, which included the return shipping, UPS Ground. Their number is 877-333-3130, or http://www.carbsonly.com/index/faqs.htm . It was a bit pricy but the restoration plating and carb setup were perfect.

    Help in Middleburg, VA Area

Mark- Like Colin I live near Middleburg and as he said it is a very wealthy area. If Chuck can't help ask his painter John, or call Tony's over in Gaithersburg MD. John's body shop is in Haymarket VA and he also has a farm where he works on painting and body restoations. Good luck!

please tell me I didn't ruin my expensive chrome bumpers

From Caswell for stainless swirl marks: "Eliminating 'Swirl' Marks Swirl marks caused by buffing in the final stages can easily be removed by wetting the part with a damp cloth, then dusting with a powder such as:- Whiting, Talcum Powder or Corn Starch, then buff on your wheel again until the...

NPG vs. Glycol Coolant - Opinions Please

My new Dewitts radiator has arrived and I will be pulling the old copper core system to put this beauty into my 61. I was thinking of switching from the traditional water & antifreeze to NPG from Evans and was hoping to get some feedback before I spend $30 a gallon for the stuff. I am also...

Allow me to share my misery (with my car that is)

There are a couple of other threads on this Try searching on Keith Hodge. He had similiar problems. Lots of guys with like issues responded to him. I asked my painter and he was inclined to think there may be a problem with the compressor used for the gun.

wanted: rear glass upper outer moulding

Rear stainless trim is not in the reproduction market to the best of my knowledge. Took me almost 6 months to assemble a full set and then need polishing. I suggest you get a copy of Corvette Restorer, there are usually 3 or 4 adds. Good luck.

    Side Exhaust on 64 Coupe

I''m leaning toward putting side exhaust on my 64 (327/300) and want advice or opinions. Doesn't appear to be a tough job but I am reluctant to make cuts in the fiberglass for routing off the header. Also any recommendations on suppliers. I'm thinking of buying original pipes and then getting...

    Carter AFB leaking

I had a similiar problem with the AFB I rebuilt in my 61. Turned out to be nothing more than a small bit of debris under the needle valve. The carb was so gummed up from sitting so many years that it was impossible to get completely clean even after soaking in cleaner for a full day. Doesn't...

    Advice on Mufflers

Put Magnaflows on my 64 and they are OK, good sound and accurate fit. I would put just a bit of antiseize on the exhaust pipe when you do the work. Makes removal of the mufflers later a lot easier. If you have already rechromed your rear bumper or it is in good shape there is no need.

    Door handle replacement question

The fix Could not adjust the mechanism to get the release to work so I took a small piece of mower fuel line and put a plug in it and slipped it over the push rod from the exterior release. After a couple of adjusting tries it works like a champ. Next guy that has this car is gonna call me...
