The Corvette Action Center Suffers a Loss

(I first apologize for my poor english) This is a great shock. Back in 2001, Bud gave me many advices when I got my 81' Vette. I was quite alone in France trying to keep my Vette in its best condition and he was the light that helped me. As any fan of the StarWars saga, I didn't believe that...

GM's V8 Production Down by Half - Should Next Gen Corvette Adopt a V6 to Keep Up with the Times?

From the other side of the pond : NO, NO and NO ! My opinion (from France) is NO. :mad Why ? I was born 2 years after the Corvette and I always have been thinking that a true Corvette should have a V8 and nothing else, because the sound of the engine is a great part of the DNA of the car. I...

    Code 23

Check (also) the cables... Well, ECM error codes nearly got me crazy. :Silly I think I had almost every error code. Some of them were real, and most of them made me think that a gremlin had established inside my Vette. :ohnoes I checked and treated every connector, even those that are hidden...

    Like a Dream Machine

Strikes began about one month after our journey. And strikes here are like hurricanes for some people : Just stay at home untill it ends (if you can)... ;) When we went back home, the T-tops stayed in the cargo area untill we arrived. Peopled stared at us : C3s are not very common in France...

    Like a Dream Machine

Same feeling here from the other side of the pond. :beer Mid-september, I drove from Paris to the Atlantic coast and back in a 3 days week-end. My Vette was behaved perfectly on this near 1,000 miles trip. :bu Here, highways are limited to 130 Km/h and I had no problem sustaining this speed...

The Ultimate 1981 Corvette xmas gift!!!

Did you first check where it was built ? If it was built in Bowling Green (Ser N° 1G1AY8764B5...), you can get it from the National Corvette Museum (https://www.corvettemuseum.com/library-archives/build_sheets/index.shtml). Evariste (aka "Corvette81" on the other side of the pond ;))

    Dome Lamp Timer?

The timer is behind the glove box. Remove it and look on the right around the harness. It is an orange box. You'll have to buy a new printed circuit. Just let me know you that you can also buy a special one, developped by one of my friends that give progressive power on and power off, and an...
