The Mid America chambered kit utilizes the holes in the frame where the true dual exhaust used to go. It fits well but I had a pro install mine and he did a great job making sure everything lined up properly. Remember to buy the dual exhaust bracket that should've come with the kit, but doesn't.
Even tho I have closed off the manual valve to my heater core and unplugged the fan motor my feet remain toast. I hope this thread produces an answer to our problem:)
Those old stock guages are sometimes inaccurate. If it was truly zero you would most likely hear your lifters screaming for help;help I agree put a mechanical guage on it for a better reading.
Great tips guys much appreciated. Going to buy the new plugs tmmrw. Also looking into the accelerator pump with the help of a few local friends and while their under the hood we are going to check the distributor and weights.

Sorry I didn't include this information previously. It has a zzz crate motor ( I was told from 1992) with a 750 holley carb, hei ignition. I will try the baby steps tmmrw also thx. I checked the plugs today and they seem ok and installed new wires while I was in there. I'll keep reading anything...
It idle's well at 800 rpm. I noticed today that it is running very rich, after converting from stock exhaust to duals should I have the carb/timing reset? Like most of the older cars here it sits a lot but I am wondering if it should be resetup. The car came with Bosch plugs so maybe I'll yank...
My C3 has a crate motor in it and when I got the car 2 years ago it was a rocketship. Recently however when I press the gas I get a lot of motor stumbling until the RPM'S reach about 3000 and then it takes off . It's pretty severe and happens all the time now. Do anyone have an idea what could...
Agreed you will need a spacer. I used Black Jack headers and they sell it for extra$$. However my mechanic built his own spacer out of billet for a better look. I bought all thru the Summit catalog. Good luck
Well I went out to the garage today to see how my ride was holding up and maybe take it out tommorow. Took the cover off and opened the door to darkness... Battery tender fell off over the winter. Hope it will charge it enough overnite to start tmmrw
