Question: An O2 Sensor went out..

I replaced my front sensor on the right side. You need to drop the starter, no big deal. You should get the socket that is sold at any parts store for about $15, it will save you a ton of head ache. The most difficult part of the whole job is getting the car up, I use ramps, and also the...

    2 or 4 bolts????

I understand, and am of the same opinion, which is why I ok'd the 2 bolt block - although I would for the sake of stress relief, prefered the original 4 bolt, but the journals were toast.

    2 or 4 bolts????

This is correct. I toasted my bearings in my '94 LT1, and had to replace the block, the engine builder had one from an Fbody that he gave me without charge, so I gladly accepted, the only down size was the 2 bolt mains. Now I have a 383 stroker with all forged internals, but with the 2 bolts...

Help! Need Honest Opinion and Advice on Torq-Thrust II Wheels

I think they will look good on your car, and I flip flop over the 15 & 17. I think if you are keeping a stock look to the car I would stay with the 15's. :thumb

    Question: Snell Racing Helmet

You should look for a snell 2005 rated helmet. Be careful not to get a helmet that is only DOT rated - some tracks will allow their use, but NHRA certified track require Snell rated helmet. Here si a link for the ratings: http://www.smf.org/stds.html

    Blown Engine Replacement

I understand that is something that could happen, but in all 8 cylinders?

    Blown Engine Replacement

That may all make sense, but I am not sure that this would cause the compression to go down, but it reinforces the point of having the engine check out before removing for a complete overhaul. If it was something laike bad fuel, then of course you would need to drain the tank before firing up...

    Blown Engine Replacement

I would agree. You should have at least detirmed what the cause of the probem was. Unless we dn't have all the information it seems like it is something less severe that a total engine rebuild. Although it is not my $$$ I thought I would throw in my own $.02

    81 seat covers

I have never tried the nylon ties, but they should work. I actually like the idea, because you can loop them under the wire, and the snug them up, and cut away the excess. I would try that!

    81 seat covers

You just need hog rings. Hog rings for the inner wires at the seams/channels, and hog rings at the seat cover edge. I have had many a car seat under my belt, I used to own a custom shop that did auto interiors back in the late 70's - early 80'S.

    81 seat covers

That is correct there are wires at the seams and around the edge that are fastened to the seat with hog rings. You need spry glue to attach the 1/2" foam to the old foam. Pretty simple procedure. The hard part is getting the assembled seats back on the frame!

    81 seat covers

No I didn't by the install kit, just used hog rings and hog ring pliers which you can pick up at just about any hardware store. It is a good idea if you are using your exsisting foam to get a 1/2" thick piece to cover the foam, then install the covers. It will fill the voids that the previously...
