I am turning 61 in a couple months. Moving...and, downsizing from 3-car garage.
My 1964 Convertible is close to 95% put together, so I am looking to sell everything else in my current garage and storage unit:
'67 DC wheels,
'69 AG spare with original redline,
2 sets of '64 door panels,

If the 65 convertible does NOT require the door pull reinforcements, how well do those pull hold up?
Is it a good idea (for daily driver) to add the 66-67 reinforcements...
Pls share any help on confirming dpr on 65 and how to retrofit if appropriate....
Thanks!
Pls share factory specs for 1964 and 1982 front axles - same location on spindle?
Thanks, but I have changed out the front springs twice, taken out the front springs and disconnected the front sway bar--basically the car was sitting on the spindles only and is several inches high.
I measured...
1964 Spindle Axle location same as 1982?Are there different specs on the location of the front axle on a 1969-1982 front spindle versus 1964?
My measurements show the 1964 axle location to be nearly 2 inches lower than the SSB A137-2 disk brake conversion kit.
I asked Stainless Steel Brakes...

I installed a pair of VBP 460 lb. GT coil springs up front and the ride height is 3 /1/2" ABOVE the top of the tire to fender lip! I have my old pair of Eckler part # A4093...thought they were the same spring rate.
Can someone confirm what I had...before I reinstall to set my baseline.
Thanks...
Who has a set of aftermarket wheels that they just have sitting around?
My son has an El Camino and is looking for a set of 15x7 somethings.
When he gets them--I can get my '67 DC code rally wheels back, ha.
Please send a pic of what you have stacked in your garage...example: Ansen...
Anyone coming back from Kissimmee today/tomorrow?
Today, I can meet at the Gainesville north exit of I-75 with my parts--'64 original (Arizona car) and some aftermarket items.
Tomorrow, at an exit in Ocala.
Email me mdroll@cox.net if you are interested in the following:

The code on '67 rim should be "DC" or dog-cat as I have heard them referenced. '68 rim could be "FG" I believe.
I have a pair of '67 DCs that I would sell--original paint--needs refurb.
Also have one '68 rim--was a spare with the "red line" tire still on it.
Will sell any all.
Gator05...
Ready to install the VBP rear spring, smart strut, sway bar pkg...got two problems:
1) my fairly new 2 1/2 exhaust is too close to strut bracket and spring and
2) exhaust would be too close to fiberglass spring.
Who has an under exhaust car that could post and/or email me a couple shots of...
Tbird, I have a brand new top shield-perfect chrome, never used (ended up with a HEI unit) and NOS wire loom shields. Gator05--send me your Xmas list and I will see what I all have besides the shielding. mdroll@cox.net
My 9-leaf is too fatigued--looking at replacing it with VBP Composite Monospring.
Who has had experience with spring rates--do I really need a 360-lb or will the 330-lb work for general gearheading around town and the occassional bootleg turnaround?
Thanks.
Mike
