    1994 Garbled at WOT

Not new valve springs. 2 new rocker arms, new crank, all new bearings, new rings, new timing chain and small gear (they had the wrong large one in stock, couldn't get the new large one, so used old one, that was in good shape). Same coil. I will need to look in the manual, and go through...

    1994 Garbled at WOT

No, not a new opti. Just a rebuild on the engine internals. I was worried that it might be the Opti, but I was hoping for something else. Don't get any SES lights. Is there any test at a dealer or something where they can hook up to it and see if it's bad?

    1994 Garbled at WOT

I'm starting to get a little frustrated, and could use some advice as to what to check next.... 1994 LT1 M6. Coming off a fresh engine rebuild because I burned up some rocker bearings, everything was running smoothly. Just recently, though, I've noticed that at wide open throttle, the engine...

How do I reset the SES light?

Haven't been here in a while, and I've been busy. I was searching this thread for something else, and saw my thread here, and I had left it unresolved. I apologize. I found someone with a car like mine, that had the manual like mine. The manual was a little difficult to try to pinpoint the...

    Replace 6-speed clutch, what options?

Seriously? No one here has replaced a clutch?

    Replace 6-speed clutch, what options?

1994 LT1 Manual 6-speed. 115k miles (15k are mine) I've done a search and read a few of the clutch problems that people have been posting. Mine is just about gone. The contact point is all the way at the top of the pedal, it's really hard to spin the rear tires, and now the gears are getting...

    94 HVAC buttons don't work - Sometimes?

Talk about having a "bug" in the system.... Yeah, not a fuse, unless it's a loose one. It's only ever the buttons on the far left, the ones on the far right are fine, usually. But it really sucks, because you can't turn off the A/C sometimes. And like I said, when I start it up the next...

    Push Button Starter?

Actually, I was kinda thinking about bypassing the whole key thing. Maybe even having a switch for the "on", and a button for the starter. I don't know, it was just a passing thought, and I was wondering if there were any customizers out there that have done something along this line.

    94 HVAC buttons don't work - Sometimes?

This is kind of strange, I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Sometimes, and only sometimes, when I start it up, the "auto" and "off" buttons don't work. Most of the other buttons seem to be able to be pushed. Pushing harder? Nothing. Then, the next time I get in the car...

    Push Button Starter?

Has anyone modified their car to have a push button starter? Or maybe know of a kit to do so? Could it just be a matter of bypassing the VATS, removing the steering lock, and adding an electronic button to turn over the starter?

How do I reset the SES light?

Okay, finally took the car by Autozone, and they couldn't read the codes. 1994 and 1995 have the ODB I module, and the ODB II connector. Go figure. So I finally find out through searching forums how to ground out the new connector (pins 4 and 12, btw), and I get one code only. H48...

How do I reset the SES light?

I have also heard that the 1994 still has ODB I, but has the ODB II connector. Is there an adapter that I need to get, if I buy my own ODB I reader?

How do I reset the SES light?

Thanks, Jeff. I'll take it by there and have them read it.

How do I reset the SES light?

A little while back, I had a service done to clean the plenum. They had to disconnect the air intake. Doing so tripped the SES light. They unfortunately only had a ODB II computer and could not reset for me. I've tried disconnecting the battery for a while, and someone said 50 starts, but...

    "C4 owner's it's our turn"

If they are looking at the past year, all V8s went down in "perceived" value, because of the gas prices. I'm good with any increase, because that basically means my car is worth more than I paid for it. Unlike my wife's car that went down 30% the moment we drove it off the lot.
