Had a great weekend hanging out at the Edmonton Rocky Mountain Nationals, 3 days of race car smells and sounds. It was a little dissapointing from previous years with IHRA dropping Pro Stock, Alcohol funny car etc also wasn't as good of a turn out from Top Fuel or Pro Mods as in previous years...
sounds like wheel balance to me...try swapping wheels front to rear

When I bought the car it had 131,000 miles on it with many of the original ball joints , tie rods etc..the thing had about a 1/2 turn play in the steering. I only drove the car 4 miles before the frame off but it was long enough to know it was shot. The car is a no option car...
2 reasons...first being money, I decided to break the project down into 2 phases , chassis restoration,body structure followed by phase 2 paint & interior .

I agree, took me about 2 years for mine to get to driver stage, just have to do a small project each night or 2...I still need to do paint & interior one day..for now i'm enjoying the ride:thumb

I changed mine this winter, I just , reached up and pushed the retaining clip with one finger while wiggling the cable out with the other fingers;LOL its a tight fit...then when I pulled the firewall grommet out it just crumbled.

Well I have put about 500 miles on the Vette since its frame off and felt confident enough to take it for its first road trip, ran flawlwss as an old Chevy should!

Well after a 2.5 year frame off I finally wrapped up phase 1 with a wheel alignment and inspection today.
What a rush to drive it around, seems the more I drive it the better it feels. maybe everthing is just settling in. This is the first time I have driven it more than 4 miles.
