Yes headers give much more free flow. Factory exhaust manifold doesn't flow nearly as well. Machined heads will allow headers to do what they were intended for;)

The harder one to do is pass side. Turn the worm out two full turns. It requires a large slot screwdriver and is usually hard to turn. The assembly should almost fall out but if it doesnt turn the worm a little either way till it does. :upthumbs

If the vette is most noisy between 16 to 2000 Rs it is best removed by an exhaust change. The corsa cat. back pulse power system is awsome for this purpose. I have it on one of my 88s and cant wait to install one on the other. Best price I found was on this site Good Luck Jim...
