    greetings....

Never rode in a 82, but love my 84. Handles great but somewhat stiff. When I first got it it was like riding in an old farm wagon through a rutted pasture. I put a softer rear spring in mine many years ago and some good shocks and it was alot better. Alot would depend on which body style you...

    1984 Crossfire Modifications - Performance

I changed the fuel pump out to a later year that delivered a bit more fuel pressure. The one in it is suppose to deliver right at what the throttle bodies need, but if you test them they usually fall short of the amount of pressure being delivered even when new. The throttle bodies have a...

    Tire selection

I went to www.tirerack.com and found some performance tires in the 15 inch diameter range and some ultra performance tires in the 16 inch diameter range. Most were in stock.

    $26 vette paint job?

I voted I would do it since I have started a paint job like that, just havent finished it because of too many projects. Hot Rod did an article on it a couple months back. And If Im not mistaken, the charger that was done on the mopar site still looked like that (good) 6 years later. Plan on...

    Door panels

Maybe someone will come along to answer that one. Wouldnt think you would need to replace the door panel to adjust window, that sounds crazy. I adjusted the window on my 71 without relacing door panel, but havent done my 84 yet.

    Gasoline odor

Did you check the gas line in the rear at the tank. Mine had pinhole. Kept smelling gas in carport. Finally leaked enough where I could see it on ground.

So...how many of us take our Vetts out if it is raining?

Drive my 84 in rain also, its my daily driver. Still working on 71, so no, but have left 71 in rain for days to see if I had any leaks after fixing or replacing things. When its done, I'll drive it in rain too. I'd personally rather drive my bronco in heavy rain because its much easier to see...

    Legacy of the 84 Corvette?

Love mine and like "billd" said, havent had much trouble with it. Some general things like water pump, smog pump, and some flickering dash problems, but all in all a great car. Was driving it over 100 miles a day to work for many years. They get a "bad rap" as junk because of the cross-fire, but...

    Radiator

I took mine to radiator shop and they tore it apart, rodded it out, fixed a small leak, cleaned it up , put it back together and for less than half the cost of a new one. If yours is bad enough to need replacing, I've heard good things about DeWitts. I've known some guys to use BeCool from...

    Tach Quit

Is it a mechanical tach. If so I would disconnect it from distributer and spin cable slowly with drill and see if the tach moves. If not its probably in cable or tach. If it moves, then its probably the gears in distributer. Is it plugged in good on both ends? I believe on mine I had a sleeve...
