thanks, i messaged him already. anyway if the LT1 isnt the original condition and everything, i havent checked out the two convertibles yet anyway, but honesty i really dislike the flat hood on the base 350s. :P
ui josh, pinoy ka ba? the moderator told me to pm you, anyway im looking for a vette and ive found 3 prospects, 2 convertibles and an LT1 but im not sure if the LT1 is orig, well if it is, which is the best buy? the base 350 convertibles or the LT1?
thanks for the help guys, i checked out summit racing and there qre quite the number of 383s with different compressions and such, some from blueprint? are they any good? could you recommend me a good engine for regular gas?
by the way, could anyone here give me detailed pictures or ways of telling a base 350 from an LT1 engine? are there diff in shape, sizes? (aside from carb) those parts that arent likely changed in an engine.
hey guys, is it bad to make many posts? i mean, im just getting soo into corvettes because of my dad, i used to worship chrysler cars and he tells me if theres no hemi, its nothing. anyway, i was wondering how a chrome bumper c3 would perform on the new 454 HO which runs at 8. something...
just the idea of owning 2 vettes is sending shivers up my spine haha! maybe id get one of the convertibles and get another vette after graduating college :crazythank god for the corvette. god bless america! :crazy
oh, thanks guys, well you know its funny, because ive noticed a lot of people here dont even bother if its an LT1 or not, they just say, 70 vette, etc, 350, , until i notice the different hoods on some, meaning having an LT1 or base 350 doesnt really affect the value here, lol, i guess people...
guys i have a general question about corvette hoods,
guys, from 68-72, did they follow the same hood scheme? (normal flat-like hood for the base 350, and different lump sizes on the LT1, 427, 454)
so if a vette had that V shaped lump that was in the middle with 2 intake things, (instead of the...
yes they are all restored, all matching numbers, because here in the Philippines, people cant really just find a shop and have their muscle car or vette customized, we dont even have 1 single shop selling aftermarket parts. everything has to be ordered from the US, whihc means +30% cost from tax...
yes i will, thanks for the help, im now choosing between 69 and 70 convertible, i honestly prefer the egg crate pattern, but the 69 would surely hold more value so im thinking hard on this one! if in turn i do end up without the money, im sticking with the 72 LT1, since ive always wanted to own...
i guess id be going for the 1972 LT1 Coupe because i think those convertibles of 70 and 69 arent much of value having stock 350 engines, changing them and buying new hoods would change the car's soul completely. unlike the 1972 with the LT1, id probably be carrying a piece of history with me...
