Hi Jeffvette: Let me know, and we'll get together. I'll be here in February, hopefully I'll be in Florida in March. Terry.

Roger & Tony: I'm going to order the xenon bulbs, and I'll post the results (hopefully positive) of my project. Dash replacement and/or repair is considerably more expensive in Canada. Terry P.

Xenon Bi-Pin / G-4 Base / 5 Watt / 12 Volt / T2-1/4: Light Bulbs Etc, Inc. Thanks for replying Roger: The xenon bulbs I referred to are at this site - do your 882 replacement bulbs look like this? If so, I'll go ahead and order them, and hope for the best. This is a Springtime project...

I realize this topic has been addressed, but here goes. I'm going to attempt to replace the 4 dash bulbs in my 88 corvette. My question is: Do I require the bi-pin bulbs or the wedge type bulbs? The 882 bulbs come in both forms, and I'm confused. The xenon bulbs suggested in one forum are...

ECM code 51 Hi: Further to my problem - I asked my mechanic this a.m. to check all grounds as advised by gmjunkie. He's going to do so, but told me he scanned the computer and got error code 51. I'm expecting delivery of a stage II prom from Ecklers on Wednesday. Do you still think there's a...

Thanks for replying - if you see my original post "shorted out crank fuse" it describes my problem. My car has been flatbedded to my mechanic, and he has diagnosed a blown prom, which is en route from Ecklers. I had emailed The Car Show prior to this diagnosis, but want to cover all bases.

Could someone please tell me where the maxi fuse is located on a 1988 Corvette. I e-mailed "The Car Show" radio program from Detroit, and they suggested the symptoms exhibited by my vette may be due to a shorted maxi fuse (50 to 60 amps). I don't have a service manual to locate the fuse. Any...

    Help! Shorted out crank fuse?

Help Thanks once again: I've checked the battery charge and connection, and all seems OK - my car is being taken to my mechanic on Monday (He has a beautiful torch red C5 convertible) and I'll post the results. P.S. The weather is finally looking better here, and I want to drive my car, top...

    Help! Shorted out crank fuse?

Help Sorry to confuse you. The "Service Engine Soon" flickers only when the fan falters. Otherwise it is constant. When I short the Diagnostic module, it flashes only the code "12" as per instructions (i.e. flash, pause, flash, flash, long pause etc.) I should mention on one occasion last...

    Help! Shorted out crank fuse?

Thank you for the advice. I shorted the pins as suggested, however, could not detect any ECM codes. The fan does falter after a while, there is an electrical shorting sound in the engine compartment and the "Service Engine Soon" light flickers, the fan recovers and blows continuously. On one...

    Help! Shorted out crank fuse?

Hi - This is completely new to me, so here goes. In the fall before storing my 1988 Corvette, I shorted a 15amp fuse that controls courtesy lights, underhood lights, power antenna, etc. (fuse is labelled ctsy/clk). I've replaced this fuse and problem solved. However, perhaps coincidentally when...
