Born and raised at the NJ shore, moved to Cocoa Beach Fl in 1974. Joined the Army in 1977, Graduated Kansas State 1981 with a BS in management, worked as a Army medic then EMT until 1995.Changed career paths to peruse my interests in computer technology and went to BCSI Technical institute and received a degree in computer repair and networking. Right out of school I was promoted by my company to East Coast Director of Information Systems. I guess you can call this baptism by fire! Here I had a great staff responsible for a 911 dispatch center in a major city and medical transport for an entire state. This was a great learning process and at the early stages of my IT career. Here I learned that there was a disconnect between business and IT systems with data and the information flow. At that point in my IT career it became a passion of mine to align the business process with technology. From here I moved to a large lawn care franchise in NJ which had many of the same issues. They had over 500 franchises nationwide and no connection the company headquarters other than by phone, fax or postal mail. Here I designed a remote network system that allowed for the data sharing throughout the country. After a few years I was offered a position with the Department of the Army. I received the Government Technology Leadership Award for The U.S. Army
