    Removal of IAC to clean

Exploded view shows IAC threading... Thanks Mad-Mic for chiming in. There's an exploded view of the TB in the Learning Center showing the IAC threading into the TB. My thinking is if it's got a rough idle ONLY, the IAC receive the voltage that controls the idle then by simply disco'ing the...

Can the IAC and TPS be disconnected from the TB, then the IAC removed from the TB without causing any harm to clean the IAC?

    Cleaning the IAC and TB

Thank you Ken for pointing me to Lars' compilation of the IAC TB cleaning instructions. I would have to agree with your statement of Lars, I once had him on my cell phone while he walked me through my first work ever on my C4, replacing my altenator...he's a valuable friend to the Corvette...

    Cleaning the IAC and TB

Thanks Vettefan, the TB sounds easy enough. Anyone else know how to cleanup the IAC as I think this is where these car inherit the rough idle from.

Choices Choices I never felt so helpless as when I was trying to decide, should I get the Fram filter or the other brand they had that was in the same $4 price range as the AC Delco filter. $12 is absorbedent but here is the question, how do you know the good filter from the marginal or not so...

    66K mile oil change yesterday...

Thanks alot ZR WON I'm gonna have to test this filter on my next change. I agree that it's a help, more filtration is more filtration and until I'm adventurous enough to get into her like KEN, the PF35 will be my filter. What a sweet ride KEN has, that motor is awesome. What a nice guy too...

    66K mile oil change yesterday...

Replacement filter holds less oil Hence less lubrication, and less filtration. Other than the depth of the filter they are the same. And if you over tighten the new filter it's more of a pain to work off due to the close proximity of the pre cat (at least in the good ole 1990 L98's)...

    66K mile oil change yesterday...

I went to the local auto parts dealer looking to obtain a PF25 oil filter and to my surprise the location was empty but a sign hung in it's place saying PF25 is no longer available and gave an AC Delco part referance for a filter that's not as deep, same money less filtration. Has anyone else...
