In sequence of ownership, previous Corvettes: '65 fuelie convertible that I swapped to a Holley four barrel because it was more easily kept in tune, a '67 427 435 hp coupe (my dad was a Chevy Dealer and it was a COPO car that I raced regularly), a '64 300 hp 327, another '67 but a convertible, an '85, the '88 Calloway "Sledgehammer" twin turbo coupe, a '90, a '95 and a 2000 z06. My first remains my favorite - '65 fuelie, Marina blue, white convertible top, white leather interior, 3.73 rear gear, M22 option four speed (frequently called the rock crusher four speed) and a WONDERFUL car. Other guys had pictures of wives, girlfriends and children but I had a picture of that first Corvette, before I bought it, taped to the inside front edge of my helmet liner. I bought EXACTLY that car when I returned to the world.
