I agree
I've got to believe that there's a real issue here for these workers. Nobody's talking about money. Apparently, there's plenty of overtime and who wouldn't like building new Corvettes all day long? If this is about safety, then it may be related to the General's desire to crank out...
Congratulations!
Hope you get behind the wheel soon. My first Vette was an '81 and I loved it. I used to sit and look at it after I got done detailing it and think the only straight line on the car was the tip of the nose but, boy, gimme that Coke bottle any day of the week. Enjoy it!
At The Glen!
Nate Chandler, 3rd from right, of Van Bortel Chevrolet led the Rochester Corvette Club on a road trip to Watkins Glen last Saturday with the 1st C-7 in New York State for some laps and a great buffet (thanks Kitty!) Got to sit behind the wheel! I think the General hit this one out...
Okey Doke!
Aaron:
Glad you liked the link. Detailed Image has some great tutorials on taking care of your car. I go cross eyed sometimes, reading about all the stuff that's out there to try. Anyway, I hope you get your interior back in shape after a long season of fun. Black can be the best...
Leatherique worked for me
Hi Aaron:
Don't know if you can get this link 2008 Chevy Corvette in Crystal Red Metallic | Ask a Pro Blog but the Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil and Prestine Clean worked well for me. It's especially good if you've got your car off the road for a couple of days and...
I'm still stoked, but...
I know many people here have already seen the C-7 up close and personal. I have not, so any opinion I have is based on pictures, film clips and whatever subliminal stuff I have been fed by the media and The General. That said, I think this car is going to blow away most...
Not At All
In fact, what I see is a suggestion of that hockey stick thing going on in the front running lights of the new Vette. If I'm right, you'll be able to identify this thing coming at you or running away from you in the dark, no problem. And, yes, it does have an attitude.
Family feud
I'm still trying to understand where all the opposition to the C-7 is coming from. When I go to a Corvette show, I really like seeing all the different years sitting there next to each other. It's great to look back over the years and see all the changes that have happened to our...
Hi Larry
Larry, you're a bona fide Corvette guy, no doubt. When you were 18, I was only 3, but I loved Corvettes when I was a kid too. I still like 'em all - or most, anyway...can't get into all that ground effects stuff - but I don't see any reason to dig in my heels against the newer cars. I...
See ya, raise ya
Evolution, you're dead on. The General is taking on the world. Corvette has raised more than a few Euro-brows at LeMans over the past decade+ and, yes, Porsche does sell a few cars here in the USA. Time we returned the favor. And if anyone thinks there aren't Corvette fans...
Point well taken
Catbert brings up an interesting point. I recall that in my senior year in high school, a friend's father bought him a brand new Corvette for graduation. The year was 1968 (oops, my roots are showing!) and the general opinion was that it looked like a piece of junk next to the...
Maybe they weren't aiming at you...or me!
The square tail lights are growing on me, as is the car in general. Got to admit, the lower half of the rear end still mystifies me but I'm willing to give the engineering crew a little time to let their wisdom sink in. What perplexes me more is the...
Looks like...
...a Viper - heard that a lot lately...a Ferrari - trying to figure out what's so bad about that...my wife thinks it looks like an Aston Martin. Far as I can see, the one thing all these cars have in common is they've all been beaten by Corvettes recently. I think the real...
Like it already
I think you have to expect that the new car is going to be a jump into the future. I like the analog gauges in my C-5, but this thing is going to be too precise and too fast for yesterday's technology. Maybe it would help to think "high tech" instead of "digital". And 440 hp may...
My Two Cents
Still not that crazy about what I'm seeing, but I may be warming up a bit. After comparing the spy photos with this pic, the way the hatch is narrow on top and then curves out around the side glass, this just might be dead on. The rear light on the mule could easily be switched out...
