Great to hear and welcome to the CAC!
I have the same experience, as living in Holland i can only remember meeting nice and very helpfull Corvette owners over here and on the internet!

Also remember that the original alu 81 diff only came with a 2.87 ratio. The 3.08 you have are an aftermarket set already and the question is what quality or previous life did they have.

When looking at Hib's things. At idle or slow speed:
1 and 4 make no difference if the is no or slow airflow. The fan clutch is a good idea and the auw fan right way even better. If would also say. When replacing the clutch fan and putting in a aux fan. Is it pushing or pulling more of the same...
I would say. At the front of the radiator it should push it through the radiator. So if looking at the front of the car if the upper fanblade is at the right closer to the radiator and further from the radiator at the left then the fan should turn toward the passengers side. So pushing the air...
In the past I found one other brand that sells HP HEI distributor. Problem is with the ECM control there isn't to much around. If your other engineparts are stock then just keep it stock i would say.

As the ECM controls the spark lets start with that. As you have fuel and i think enough air the only thing you're missing is a timed spark.

Maybe the fuel filter. When you have the filter out of the line look if fuel is comming out if you turn the ignition key. And put something under the fuel line so fuel isn't all over the floor. :)

Sounds great to me! Did you always run the 2K converter or are you changing into it right now? I think with the lockup the 700R4 has it will be a great combo, High stall but still low in mileage because of the lockup in 4th gear!?
On the one hand weird to hear it's becomming difficult to find...
