    although I've done several min idle adjustment on my 85 using the gm fsm I have....I read a couple of threads indicating you should disconnect the distributor wire while doing this....seems like this would make a huge difference in setting the idles peed....anybody know something...

    seems to me there was something in the fsm about not getting 12.....i'll take a peek at half time....i'm assuming you have one...if not, you'll need it eventually...factory gm manual..:beer

    my 85 acted similar...didn't get the fuel pump connectors on good enough...wouldn't maintain fuel pressure...have you tested your fuel pressure and does it hold.. ko eo...?:w

    end of this thread....pump didn't always turn on because I wasn't aware of the 10 second delay...followed the gm fsm to the bitter end...last box/ bottom of the page...loose rubber connector on the fuel pump....car now runs like a champ...:happyanim:

    got around to pinching return fuel line ....pressure goes quickly to38...then 20, then 0 at the click of the relay...fsm indicates bad injector/cold start valve....that would have to be some leak to make the pressure drop that fast...i'm thinking has to be the fuel pump...if there's a check...

    ok...getting wierder....now with key on...pressure runs up to 40 but quickly drops to 0 with a distict click from the fuel pump relay....that's new too....???? also, no strored codes anymore....:ugh

    short finder

    going around the circuit the 2nd time, found power to both wires to the spare tire light....per fsm, i think one should , not both with lights off....had disconnected bulb before....wasn't aware tested 12v in both sockets..cut plug out...both ends of wires to spare tire light test 12...
