Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

LUK clutch kits. I believe it is part number LUK 04-021, but let me double check. They are inexpensive and are good stock replacements. I generally use center force or ram clutches in my restomods, but no reason for them with a stock or mildly modified 327.

Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

I finished the chassis for the most part last night and my painter and I installed the body today. She is almost fully resurrected from the dead! There is no weight in the car and the suspension has not been adjusted, so the ass is high and the front is low currently.

Daytona blue, which is the original color.

Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

My painter sprayed the base yesterday. I guess this means I need to hurry up and finish the remaining items on the chassis.

Video: Classic Corvette Catches Fire in Encino California

That's a big fire! This is why I purchase a fire extinguisher for every car that has a carburetor. Just last week I had a plastic gasket on a quick fuel carb crack. I smelled gas while i was driving and when i opened the hood when I got home, i found a lovely pool of gas sitting in the...

Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

It is a reproduction of the late C3 spring and they use a block of aluminum to fill the void in space at the differential mounting point. It is wide on the ends and narrow in the center and I believe that is why it looks like there is a twist in it in the photo.

Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

After Blasting the original tie rods I noticed that they were pretty scarred up from wrenches being used to turn them, which is pretty typical, so I decided to replace them with a set of Van Steel heavy duty tie rod sleeves. The Van Steel units have a slot so they can be turned with a wrench...

    Question: Holly help

I have the quick fuel BD750 on a 500hp 363 Ford Racing Stroker crate engine and it is the best carb I have used yet. However, I highly doubt a 750cfm would be appropriate for any 327. Unusual Activity Detected - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing I have used the Quick fuel...

    Question: Holly help

There is nothing wrong with a double pumper unless it is too large for the engine. Plenty of nice street ready double pumper carbs on the market. I've run a few and never had issues.

    Warm engine misses

Just because you replaced components in your distributor, does not mean you still do not have an issue. There are so many factors that could be at play. If you are going to screw with the carburetor, i suggest starting with the basics...check your float levels first as per lars instructions.

    Warm engine misses

At this point, i think you are grasping at straws. Aim small, miss small! You have a minor problem with your distributor or carburetor. My money is still on the distributor.

Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

Re: 1967 Corvette Coupe Restomod Build Thread I've only used complete stainless systems on full restomods, never on any restorations or mildly upgraded c2s. This is an aluminized system as were the others i have tried. I have also tried Corvette Centrals Magnaflow mufflers, which come to...

Revivification of a 1963 Split Window

Re: 1967 Corvette Coupe Restomod Build Thread I appreciate the comment, but this is actually the longest it has ever taken me to restore a chassis. However, this is my first time rebuilding a steering box as well as rear drum brakes, but still, that has not added that much time. I've only...
