Seeking a good plastic panel or backing plate the left or driver's side mirror attaches to. The back side of mine will not reliably grasp the metal trunnion. THANKS!
Hello. I need a good panel that the driver's side mirror attaches to for a power mirror on my '81. The back side of mine will not reliably grasp the trunnion. Thanks! Dave
THANKS! Have messaged them. I suppose a glob of epoxy on both places where the trunnion attaches would hold onto the plate, however when that stuff sets up, I could say goodbye to any future mirror adjustment.
For better or worse, my '81 has power mirrors. My driver side was attacked AT A REPAIR FACILITY. Easy to find replacement mirror glass (everybody has). Don't need trunnion (most durable part that everybody offers). It would seem that the plastic backing plate or panel that the mirror attaches...
Sometimes I have to wiggle the shifter to get Scarlett to start. Not real crazy about that. My wonderful shop manual gives no clue where it is or how to replace it even though it is named under the starter circuit problems. CLEVER! Can it be done from underneath while on a rack or is that too...
Soooo it wasn't Murphy's ghost after all!

My 81 seat issue......solved?

I noticed that the inside hinge cover (driver's side) 81 model, was about to fall off. Sounds simple. You go to Ebay, buy a package of new acorn nuts & pop em' on. Right? Well...NOW the drivers seat back won't fold down. NOW WHAT? Thanks!:mad
Hello out there ! Upon my inspection of my recent purchase of an 81, I found that it still had the original Goodyear P195/80D15 spare. It had never been on the ground. Still has the stuff from the tire mold on the tread. Being a charter member of Murphy's Law where sharp metal objects jump up &...
Hello from the Florida "Nature Coast" (that's west central Fl.). Back in the pre-internet days, there was a time in my life when I owned a 72 T-top, a 60 and a split window coupe (license plate was "63 SPLIT"). Seemed like I always had a wrench in my hand. Sold the 72 & 60 but kept the 63 for 25...
