Tried today to just replace the LCD screen with no luck, Found the dash to be an 89 model, rouge digits would appear as the RPM increased, it was worth a try, I will now need to import :-(

Does anyone know if an 87 LCD cluster will replace an 85 version, any known problems, I have found the one to four light stays on and the RPM drops to a single digit below 1000 RPM. Is this normal with this year of LCD or could just the RPM lcd be fitted to my 85 dash as mine is cracked. Cheers :D
My wire has disappered, I have checked all around the rear of the engine bay as per all information sourced, I can find where the 4 way connector leaves the distributor and enters the wiring harness and thats it. Did they hide it any where else on an 85 vette. Cheers

It's because we drive on the RIGHT side of the road, not the wrong side (Left) ;LOL. All left hand cars imported into New Zealand, that are under 20 years had to be convirted to RHD. They say the C4 is the hardest to do.

Hi, Yes the cluster was removed and cleaned out, The problem occured before and after cluster removal. The problem is when you turn the key to IGN the dash LCD's light up as per normal. Turn the key to off and the dash LCD's turn off (All as per normal).

Hi, I am finding that when I turn the key off without starting the engine, The LCD cluster goes blank (off). When the engine has been running and I turn the key off the LCD cluster starts buzzing and the LCD's fainty flicker for about 2 seconds. Any idea what may be causing this issue. Cheers;shrug
