    Question: Ride height

Thanks for the info. I use block of 2" X 12" on all 4 corners to get a floor jack under it. I also use jacking pucks between the jack or lift and the jacking points. The article Mr. Lucky referenced was helpful. I had heard that the ride height was adjustable up and down but didn't know how...

    Question: Ride height

No it is not lowered. The front air dam does scrape frequently but is hinged so not problem. What I worry about is something under the car hanging up on something. I would like to raise it up an inch or so if it doesn't require any significant modification to the suspension. I also have to...

    Question: Ride height

My 01 coupe rides so low to the deck that I can't get a jack or ramps or almost anything under it when I need to raise to work on it. Is there a way to adjust the ride height? I am really surprised that I can make it over the reflector bumps along the center line of the road without hitting...

Question: 01 heater / AC display

HVAC Fix That is what is so great about owning a Corvette and following this forum. I have been in other forums for special interest vehicles and they aren't anywhere near as helpful as this group. I have a 65 coupe and an 01 coupe and have been able to get fixes for problems here that have...

Question: 01 heater / AC display

OUTSTANDING HVAC fix 03WhiteConv, You are the man. I removed the console and pulled the HVAC control panel out of the dash as per the instructions you gave me. I bought a 15 watt soldering pencel from Radio Shack for $9 and Proceeded to re-solder the chips you highlighted (I had the other...

    News: Head light motor rebuild

Headlight motor rebuild Look at this site Headlamp Motor Rebuild | Corvette Magazine is one. There is another article that is a .pdf format that was posted here but I don't know how to add it to this reply. The job is really easy. You will spent more time cleaning parts than actually...

    News: Head light motor rebuild

I have been dreading the job of rebuilding my head light motors in my 65 Coupe. It was a rainy and blustery day down here on the bayou so I decided to go ahead and tackle this task. I spent about 15 minutes removing the motors after I removed the hood. Then I spent about 30 minutes cleaning...

Question: 01 heater / AC display

The AC / heater display in my 01 coupe has gone out. The heater and AC still work but I can't see what temperature it is set for. Does anyone have any insight into how I can fix this problem? ;shrug

    Headlight motor rebuild

It is a rainy blustery day down on the bayou. I wasn't in any mood to do much of anything. I figured that I needed to get the safety inspection on my 65 Coupe renewed and that I had to rebuild the headlight motors before I could do that. I really didn't feel like doing that but I have to...

    Fuse location

I can't find the location of the fuse for the under hood light. I have looked in the owner's manual and on the cover to both fuse block locations but can't identify which fuse is for the under hood light. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.;shrug

    01 Horn intermitent

I will check the steering wheel connections.. Is it best to disconnect the battery when working around the air bags. I wouldn't want to activate them by accident if that is possible.

    01 Horn intermitent

That is what you use to get slow pokes out of your way. You can also flash your headlights (that works fine now, my problem is with the horn). Down here in bayou country, we have many people (mostly Democrats) who never took drivers education and need remeadial driving lessons. HAHAHA

    01 Horn intermitent

I have an 01 coupe with about 60k miles on it. The horn will not always blow when you press the horn button on the steering wheel. When you set the alarm, it blows every time. The dealer changed the horn relay but that didn't cure it. It works find sometimes and doesn't work at other times...
