Up untill last year, my '87 was my daily driver with 144,000 miles.
I'm the original owner and took care to maintain and replace components (sometimes pro-actively) as necessary.
Don't sweat the miles...enjoy. It sounds like "good mileage" to me.
Here's the scenerio. 20 or so miles, stop-n-go traffic, warm day, engine temps
between 209-227, 1/4 tank left, I pull in for gas and had trouble opening the
filler cap because of the pressure. When I did open it, man, I thought that gas was gonna erupt at any moment. I mean it was a VIOLENT...
I just did mine with the genuine leather replacments w/ foam.
I'm very happy with the fit and finish and wouldn't consider alternative styles.
It just wouldn't look right. Save up and invest in the covers with the seat foam
installed. Well worth the money.
corvette america is where I got mine...
It's fixed!!??!
I went back to the fuel pump connections, cleaned the connector and monkeyed with a rusted ground.
It started to work again. hmmmmm. Sounds too easy, but I'll accept it.
Goes to show just how finicky the 'Vette is with electrical grounds.
