Gulp... Any smoke out of the rear end, especially after initial start up? Open the coolant res while the car is running and look for bubbles. Could be a blown head gasket and coolant is leaking into your cylinder head(s). If you see bubbles in the res, while running that is a confirmation. Did...

My guess is air is still trapped in the system. Turn the heat all the way up with the fan on high while you rev the engine to 2000 - 2500 RPMs. Do that for a few minutes. If you have a helper they maybe able to see air bubbles at the res.
