How much have you spent on restoring your Vette, to date ??

I must be nuts Back in 2006 I said I was up to $40,000. Two years ago I put Vintage Air in my 76. Right now it is with John Boos of Boos Performance. He is putting in an LS6 engine, 4L60E transmission, Radiator and cooling fan to match. Plus wirring brackets mounts, gauges, conversions, fuel...

    Slow Power Windows

I must admit that I paid someone to do it. It sounds like a good winter project. I have little or no mechanical abilitie or knowledge. So it sounds like I will have to go slow and make sure I don't screw things up. I had the door panel off looking for a short it doesn't seem like there is much...

I have cleaned and relubed the parts; but it doesn't help. Is there a way to adjust the spring tension, (safely) to help them go up faster. Thanks for...

so tired of ppl asking me why i dont drive a newer vette

As far as the women go. Tell them you don't replace it with a newer model, for the same reason you don't replace them with a newer model. Because you love and appreciate what you have.

    Help! 76 Stingray

I want to replace the wheel on my 76 for one reason only. The crossbars cover the speedometer from 0 to 50 when I have the seat and steering wheel in a comfortable position for me. I wish I had the foresight that when I removed the Tack and speedometer I had switched their positions, then it...

Help! Replacing a 3 speed Auto with?????

I have a 1976, When I bought it and drove it from Oaklahoma to Minnesota, I got 11 MPG. I had a 700 R4 put in. The worst gas milage I get is 18 MPG. I drove it to kentucky and back then Ohio and back. I averaged 22 MPG. One tank, flat land and tail wind, 26MPG. I like the overdrive.

Greed, not unions, brought GM down

Here is what I see as being the problem. Do you remember way back when, when FORD stood for fix or repair daily. All of the rest of the companys were in the same boat. The Auto magazines had very little good to say about the long term life of American cars. Now fast forward to today. People...

    Noises while driving.

when my diff was making noise all I did was use the Genuine GM oil and additive. That stopped the noise. But He said it also feels like the back end shifts, can the differential have that effect? Last year I had a failure of not one but both of the shafts that adjust the camber on the rear...
