Thanks,
I had thought about that, but got hung up too much on thinking that it must be a heat open electrical problem.
I never checked the fuel pressure.
I've seen the Schrader valve, figured that would be the place to hook up.
What kind of pressure is normal? I've changed the fuel pump years...
Was having shut down problems. Car would stop dead at about 200 degrees and wouldn't start again until the temp dropped back to 180-190.
Had a lot of aftermarket stuff on the car, fan switches, Delteq so I decided to take everything back to stock.
Replaced the opti and water pump and car...
Anybody have any info on what is going on with Delteq? Phone calls only get the answering machine and emails go unanswered.
Hope its nothing serious, there's a lot of units on LT's and it would be nice to know we don't end up orphans.
Excuse this if it's a repost.
When I replaced the opti and water pump a few years ago I also replaced all the seals in the front cover. The crank seal was leaking fierce.
Now its getting really bad again, but this time I'm going to replace the crank hub.
Not looking forward to the job, but it has to be done.
A friend...
I manually shift the auto in certain situations. I live in central Pa. and there are a lot of hills. So as I'm ascending a long hill when the transmission shifts into a lower gear, I manually select it to hold it in that gear so it doesn't keep trying to shift back and forth. Then on descending...
Another reason to "top off"
I saw this in an article in Corvette Fever by Chris Petris. A guy recently bought a low mileage '95 and took it on a trip out west and had engine failure.
What happened was that his injectors clogged.
Chris said that especially on low mileage older cars that are...
Yes. I also have a problem with my soft top. The glass on the window is starting to pull away at the bottom. The top itself is in decent shape, but that window seperation really looks crummy. Anyway I have the hardtop on now for the cold months, even though I won't be out once we get snow.
Just took the hardtop off my 'vert and noticed that I'm starting to get some separation where the rear glass is connected to the fabric on the soft top.
Any suggestions as to what to use to re-attach? I tried super glue, but I never have any luck with it. Might be that the fabric has some...
Yep, happened to me in a different senario. Scary how things happen when you take your mind off what's going on.
I only had my lift a couple of days and when I lowered it after working on the car. I saw something was wrong at about 3 ft off the floor, the posts started shifting.
What I had done...
:_rock Same here...I do it myself. But if you are planning it, by all means get a manual.
The intake manifold isn't difficult. I just did mine, and the front cover, and the transmission, and the oil pan...etc.
Hey, how about that? I just finished the same job a week ago. I think that you will find a lot of satisfaction doing your own work on your '95. Good job!
Pete
Thanks man!
That is a lot of info. It's just what I was looking for. I'm in the process of downloading it. Even with broadband it takes some time...but well worth it.
Thanks again,
Pete
