    Spring To Do lists!

    1) Wait for snow to melt; hope for nice salt-rinsing rains. 2) Remove original rims (for restoration); put on "spare" set of ready-to-go original-style (now chromed) rims with slick new DS3's. 3) Can you say "detailing" ?? A couple of summers in the garage and LOTS of TLC is in order! 4)...

(Picture Thread) Show your C4 to the world!

Thanks! To be honest, it's my "fault" it's so low-mileage. I bought it when it was about four years old, and just haven't driven it a lot! The past five summers or so I've been away most of the time - hopefully I'll get to spend some time catching up with some detailing and even more time...

C4 Wheel Needed: My niece bent one of her Vette wheels and is looking another...

Wheel woes 6-Shooter - Before you toss that rim, I'd suggest you pull the center cap, and take the emblem out - it's held on by two speed nuts (and perhaps a little adhesive). Yes, that one might be scratched up, but hang on to it until you get lucky enough to find new emblems - they're...

    WTB: Wheel emblems - 88/89

Those look like wheel emblems - there should be 4 ( 1 per wheel ) but they seem like the right ones. They might have the part number 10055342 on the backside or on the parts bag. I thought these emblems were only used on '88 and '89 rims, so I'm not sure why you'd have a set for your '85 - but...

    WTB: Wheel emblems - 88/89

I'd prefer original, but I will have a look on E-bay for the gold and see them - and any others. Edit: Thanks, Wilton. I went ahead and bought those. If I don't like the gold, and can't find 4 originals, I can always paint them black!

    WTB: Wheel emblems - 88/89

Does anyone know where I can find a set of 4 emblems that go into the insert for the center cap on 88/89 wheels? Photo enclosed. It's GM Part Number 10055342, but seems to be discontinued.

    Time to Re-Tire !

They're probably great tires - but they can't beat the Goodyear price -- this time around, they're free. Thanks for all the help - I'll go with the D3's.

    Time to Re-Tire !

Thanks for chiming in, Hib. I was really hoping someone would give me great words of wisdom like yours! I really appreciate your advice. You're correct about my use of the car - while the car gets driven enthusiastically, it doesn't really see any racing or HARD use. I rarely take it out in...

    Time to Re-Tire !

Can I put Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 265/40 ZR17 tires on a 275/40 ZR17 rim? I have an opportunity to get a set of Goodyear tires for my '89. Should I choose the Eagle F1 GS-D3 in the original 275/40 ZR17 size, or go for the Eagle F1 Supercar - even if the closest size they have is 265/40...

    89 Center Cap emblems

I need a set of center cap emblems for my '89. GM seems to have discontinued them - and discourages replications. These are the emblems that go into the insets of the wheel covers - my covers are fine, it's just the emblems that are faded and need to be replaced. Does anyone have an idea...

    coolant level

The way you describe it is exactly how it is designed to work. The clear light on the sides are called a "Cornering Lights" and provide illumination on the side of the car in the direction you're turning. It's supposed to help you see things "around the corner". It stays on constantly while...

    coolant level

I can help with this one. The L98 had problems with "Burping" - what happens is that air gets into the hose, and it's higher than the coolant level in the radiator. I don't know that there's any way to "fix" this because it's just the way the motor is designed. What you CAN do is to "Pack"...
