why do i need an X-pipe?

FYI And possibly a source of some confusion on this is the fact that the stock H pipe actually has a tiny 1/2" to 3/4" hole within the 2.5" crossover pipe. Very odd configuration if you ask me. I would really like to hear from someone that has replaced the stock H pipe with a true 2.5" H pipe...

    Instrument cluster removal

It bolts unto the underside of the upper dash pad and framing. The connector is a 10 pin slim line connector that press fits in. All IPC's have the 10 pin female connector on the top for the HUD connection, even 97 and 98s... So any Vette can fitted or HUD once you buy the HUD projector, bezel...

    Front Turn Signal Access

I access mine through the open Headlight hole, remove the headlight bezel first. You should be able to repair your turn signal housing, typically the heat from the bulb melts the housing a tad bit and allows moisture to get in. It can be sealed with silicone or something suitable... :beer

    Instrument cluster removal

You don't have to remove the upper dash pad! I've had my IPC out three or four times already... Follow these instructions; http://www.spdkilz.com/techtipleddic.html All the clusters are the same and the HUD is an "add on" module connected via a ribbon cable that press fits into the top of...

    Air induction system

These are generally bashed as snake oil. BUT my experience says otherwise! Mine came with one installed unbeknownest (is that spelled right?) to me and since everyone said they were BS I removed it and promptly lost quite a bit of throttle response. I checked everything and all was good, so I...

This a must as far as I'm concerned, my radiator was just crammed with all kinds of junk!!! There have been posts about owners sucking up plastic grocery bags and overheating... When both those fans turn on these cars turn into street Dysons!! Good post!

Security light - car wont start - what to replace?

First thing to try is cleaning your pellet with rubbing alchol. FWIW I'd get a spare key made regardless and give it a try as well...

    First Dyno/Tune 99 MN6 w/Bolt ons

Thanx! Yeah I put on Highflows from Performance-Curve, metallic cores for $55.00 a piece, the Headers and X Pipe were $400.00 shipped. ! had two goals cheap, and reliable. The Headers and X Pipe are SUS 321 Stainless and the Cats are stainless as well so I think I'm OK on the major components. I...

    First Dyno/Tune 99 MN6 w/Bolt ons

Just had a Dyno/Tune done, mods are basically the common bolt ons (see sig). We were really happy with the results... The Headers and X Pipe are the infamous "EBay Headers"; For you SAE minded guys and gals... Here's a vid of Brian Herter (PCMs for Less) trying to blow it up...
