Was not the problem, I was so sure it was. I can easily rotate the headlight 5-10 degrees just by tapping it. I'll check the tube, but I'm 99% sure my problem is the bushings.

My 1994 just started doing this as well. It has stuck halfway when opening less than 10 times, and does the popping whenever I shut the lights. Even if I put the parking lights on without flipping the lights up, and then shut them off, popopopopopop. I think there's a little feeler arm that...
