Your "CHECK ENGINE" light is trying to tell you something. All you need to do is listen. The stored error code(s) may help you find the source of the problem(s).
The ALDL connector is under the center console ash tray. Shorting the leftmost two pins invokes Field Service Mode. WITHOUT...
Turn off the ignition for at least 20 seconds. While monitoring the "SES" lamp, turn the ignition to RUN (do not crank the engine). Watch teh lamp closely on power-up. It should illuminate briefly, extinguish briefly, the illuminate and remain that way until the engine is started. YHou've...
You can likely find a nearly complete TPI system on eBay, www.ThirdGen.org classified section, or several other sites. The information on Bernie's site (www.sethirdgen.org) is very good. Presuming this is going on top of a 350, you may want to lean toward a speed/density system (1990-later) as...

Cake. Very simple and straightforward, and no real tricks like on the ThermoQuads.
One thing to watch is leakage from the lower main well plugs. It's also a good time to check wear in teh throttle shaft and align the plates.
About the only special things you'll need on an E4ME are teh 2mm...
