Need Pics Of 4"/5" Cowl Hoods

I've spend probably 3 hours now searching for a picture of what a 4 or 5 inch cowl looks like on a c3. I caught a quick drive by look early this summer, but have yet to find any online. With my intentions of eventually changing my intake set up to nitrous or supercharger I would like to see what...

Choosing side pipes on 74 L48

I am also running the factory style side pipes. I have 2 1/2" pipes to hugger headers (which had to be connected at an exhuast shop) and I Love em. As stated before, they can be a bit tiring, noise wise, after a long drive but I feel thats most side pipe set ups. I cant tell you if I gained or...

    Sidepipes

side pipes made to order fiberglass covers ecklers is 100$ more expensive then what dark shark qouted, but it was where I knew I could find them. I would do some pricing, try mid america.

    Sidepipes

wrapped Shortie headers, 2 1/2" stock style side pipes, fiberglass covers or metal. :D Haven’t had any heat issues (i.e.-burnt legs), Love the sound. I think one of the best set ups. The Hooker style, if mufflered, sound nice, but un-mufflered sound LOUD, very Loud and you have the heat issue...

4speed not shifting out of first.

Well, I went for a cruise at lunch a few days ago after about an hour of driving, stop and go, some 45 mph cruising. I pulled into a court to turn around and while placing it into first gear, it seemed "too easy". I then tried to place into second and it would not budge. It took some jerking and...

    heads and cam advice

Thanks for the info! I just did a search and found what I was looking for. I think now that I'm flowing more air with the fuelie heads, exhuast and cam. The performer is a good stock replacement, but i want to get out as much as possible out of my heads.

    heads and cam advice

If you arent going to change the intake and exhuast, the heads arent going to able to breath to their full ability. Why not get get a crate motor, fill your stock engine with oil, crate it and sit it in storage, if you sell the car...you have your stock untouched motor.

    Side pipe header choices

I just put on a set of Summit racing "block hugger" headers, The install was rather straight forward. However If I was to do it again I would have bought a better quality "block hugger" header, but these were given to me, so I couldn’t argue. I had an exhaust shop fab some 2 1/2" piping ( I have...

I want more Hp out of an 350 L48

summit racing sells two pairs heads for a good price. They just came out with a new street strip head I believe for 1000, but you can get most namebrand aftermarket heads for that price. I have the chevy remake fuelie heads by summit and have been very statisfied over the stock heads, They ran...
