I do alot of mountain road driving. I chose the sport suspension package at VBP because it seemed legit and seemed like a mild increase in stiffness and handling, but still maintains stock ride height and telemetry. Also, the bushings on my car, as far as i can tell are still original and in...
Well, after taking a break from my vette for some time and focusing my research and efforts into my WRX. I have come to truely understand just how important suspension is.
In this case, I plan on overhauling my vette completely (Engine rebuild, trans rebuild, rear diff rebuild, Suspension...
I finally ran the diagnostics and it gave me 1 code:
DTC 24 Vehicle Speed Sensor, Signal too low.
FSM didnt say anything about it kicking the fans on though..
Anyways, it may seem that i will need to replace the sensor. Any thoughts or opinions on what i should do otherwiswe?
So, i recently had my PCM professionally tuned for the vette. I gave it a good test drive for around 40 miles and the car seemed to run pretty well. My cooling fans are tuned to turn on at 182° and off at 172° to compliment the 160° T-stat. I pulled up into my driveway and felt that my idle...
Really...the Volt... Not a fan of electric or Hybrid Technology, im more for optional fuel technology such as biodiesel. Heck the New Cruze "Eco model" being planned (1.4L turbo-4, 140HP/140TQ, 6-speed manual) gets way higher marks from me then the Volt. Definitely Kool-aid sharing going on there.
Well, My '94 is around 130k miles and im considering a complete rebuild. Has anyone else here done a full blown engine rebuild on their cars?
Im thinking of doing a 355 set up with reliable internals that can handle at least 500 HP. The goal is about 440-480 crank HP, likewise with torque...
I have the SLP "C.A.I" for my LT1. As far as satisfaction, i am satisfied with it. On a stock application, its useless. But when used in conjunction with all the other bolt-ons, it helps out a little bit.
I have the SLP filters on it, probably similar in the properties of K&N filters...
Aftermarket-wise, SLP might have a CAI for your vehicle. Stock-wise, find someone who has one lying around, like in the previous post, or the junkyard.
I live up in the CO mountains with a 2 mile dirt road that goes to my house. If there is any precipitation, the car is prone to get stuck in the mud. So, the car never goes out in the snow. I have my daily driver though for when the weather turns south, my good ole 2006 Subaru WRX.
Eh, much rather drive a internal combustion 4-cylinder then any hybrid vehicle. Im particularly fond of turbo 4 cylinders, got some nice oomph to them.
Considering that there are not that many ragtop versions of european supercars out there. And even those take a hit in the handling department, if you watch the show Top Gear, every supercar convertible they drive, they usually mention how the chassis flexes when they floor the car and/or take...
