Okay, I just saw the announcement that May 22nd was the start of the 2009 season.
But, what does that mean for someone who just wants one of the 'regular' vettes? (i.e. just the coupe, not the Z06/07, SS, Blue Devil, or any of the other fancy-named versions)
I've done a few web searches and...
Price check, aisle 3LT
I'm getting close... I am firm on the options I want, in the 'getting quotes' stage. The prices in parenthesis are what I found on Edmunds.com
2008 Vette Coupe (41,260)
Black / Ebony
3LT package (3740)
NPP dual-mode exhaust (990)
F55 magnetic ride control (1655)
MX0...
Yea, this is going to be a daily driver, I don't want a 'garage queen'. I'm going to pass on the perf axle - I will be going from my 4-cylinder 100-hp front-wheel-drive Saturn SL1 to this beast, I'll have my hands full for quite awhile!
My Saturn actually hit 100k miles on Jan 3rd of this year...
So, do I get it or not? It seems like a good thing, but is there a downside?
I'm planning on a 3LT, with the F55 mag suspension, the MX0 auto, NPP exhaust, C2L dual-roofs, and the QX1 grey wheels.
Realistically this is going to be a daily driver / commuter, not a race car.
